Cooking and Connecting ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿณ

Each month, HARK board members assist with Independent Living (IL) classes and dinners with youth from our partner organization, The Black Mountain Home for Children.

During IL Dinners, HARK board members cook a quick and easy meal alongside the teens and young adults in Black Mountain's programming. These meal experience gives the youth the chance to practice their cooking skills and to add some new recipes to their meal rotations.

During IL Classes, HARK board members discuss a range of topics- from resume writing to navigating interpersonal dynamics. IL Classes are intended to assist the youth in developing necessary life skills to find success in their personal and professional lives, now and in the future.
